Who we are
InControl is operated by AlwaysHere LLC in Highland Park, Illinois, USA. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info: email, display name, and role (client, coach, caregiver, admin).
- Wellness inputs you provide: long-term goals, daily routines, learning preferences, mood check-ins, tiny commitments, and lesson responses.
- Optional caregiver contact: a name and phone or email, only if you enter it.
- Basic technical data: device and browser info, timestamps, and error logs used to keep the service running.
- Messages you send us: when you use the Contact form, we store the name, email, and message so we can reply.
We do not store medical diagnoses in user profiles. InControl is framed as wellness education, not medical care.
How we use your information
To provide the product (personalize lessons and the mountain progress view), keep accounts secure, respond to your questions, improve the service, and meet legal requirements.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We rely on your consent, on the performance of our terms with you, on our legitimate interests in operating and improving InControl, and on compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the product (hosting, authentication, analytics, email), each under contractual data-protection obligations, and when required by law.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA (right to know, right to delete, right to opt out of "sale/share" — we do not sell or share your data for cross-context advertising).
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections, role-based access controls, and row-level security in our database. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep it private.
Children
InControl is designed for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
